THIS IS IT, Friend — polluter-backed members of Congress are threatening to slash billions in funding for national parks, monuments, forests, and historical sites.
Since his first day in office, Trump and his allies have been working to overturn bedrock environmental laws, gut land management agencies and staff, defund conservation programs, and make it easier for profit-hungry polluters to dig their claws into our public lands and waters.
We can’t let this happen without a fight, Friend.
Our team launched a nationwide tour of public lands. We’re visiting parks and monuments, connecting with others who care about the future of our public lands at hikes, campouts, demonstrations, and town halls, all the way from Maine to Colorado.
But we can’t fight back against these devastating cuts to public lands without you — and time is running out to make sure Congress hears us loud and clear when they come back from recess in a few days.

Here’s what’s on the table next month, what our team is out in the field bringing people together to fight: - The biggest cuts to the National Park Service in history, with Trump’s proposed cuts of $1.2 billion eliminating a whopping 40% of their operating budget.
- Even more staffing shortages at national parks, adding to the chaos and uncertainty parks staff are already feeling after DOGE’s firings and mass layoffs earlier this year, leaving essential programs and visitor services in shambles.
- Critical cuts and delays to projects like habitat restoration and wildfire prevention that could threaten the long-term survival of our national parks’ wildlife and ecosystems.
