John, I’ll be blunt: Every campaign hits a “summer slump.” But this one is hitting right as we’re kicking off our on-the-ground work in our district and in flippable GOP districts across the region before the critical PA Supreme Court election this November. If we don’t close the gap before midnight tonight, we won’t have the resources to keep this campaign to talk to voters in red districts going. As we know, Republicans have been busy gutting Medicaid, PBS, and SNAP — lifelines for families across America. Donald Trump is calling to cancel vote-by-mail and unleashing ICE and the National Guard on Americans in cities around the country. It’s getting crazy out there. People are scared and, to be honest, pissed off. I get it. And so-called GOP “leaders” like Elise Stefanik? They’re getting booed in their own districts because they refuse to show up and face the people they’re supposed to serve. That’s the difference: I do show up. I go into red districts (and if we meet our goal, I’ll be able to continue). I answer tough questions. I tell the truth — because the stakes are too high to sit on the sidelines. This is how campaigning works. This is how we beat authoritarianism and fascism together. But I can’t do it without you.
