I've seen a lot during my years of public service -- through the good and the bad -- but I have never seen anything like this.
In just the past few weeks, Donald Trump has:
- Seized control of D.C.’s police department and sent armed federal agents into liberal cities
- Purged the CDC of actual doctors and scientists and installed anti-vaxx loyalists
- Fired independent financial regulators who wouldn’t toe the line
- Continued sweeps of our immigrant neighborhoods by unaccountable masked agents
- And begun the gerrymandering process in attempt to install an extremely unpopular Republican Congress in 2026
This isn’t “disruption.” It’s not politics as usual. This is authoritarian rule by executive tantrum — and MAGA Republicans in Congress are helping him do it.
I’m outraged. I know you are too. But outrage isn’t enough.
We need to organize, mobilize, and fight like hell to take back the House and put a check on this madness.
