We’re now in the final stretch before Britain takes to the streets to stand against Donald Trump’s state visit. Across the Atlantic, the warning signs could not be clearer: Trump’s politics must be rejected.

Armed troops patrol the US capital. Giant, dystopian banners bearing Trump’s face hang from federal buildings. This is no ordinary presidency – it’s a dangerous cult of personality sliding further into authoritarianism. Now, Trump is threatening to send armed troops into cities like New York, Chicago, and Baltimore to crush dissent.

Britain won’t stand for it. When Trump comes to our shores, we’ll send a message loud and clear: his politics of hate and division are not welcome here.

This isn’t just about one man – it’s about showing that people, united in their thousands, can push back against authoritarianism and win. Together, we can turn this visit into a moment of resistance, solidarity, and hope.

Placards are the heartbeat of any protest. We want short, sharp, and impossible to ignore. We’ve been kicking around some ideas, like:
