John,
Tomorrow, working people and their allies in every state will come together to demand “Workers Over Billionaires” at Labor Day rallies across the country. But this is not a normal Labor Day.
This Labor Day, while we continue to celebrate the achievements of the labor movement and uplift the demands of working people―including safe workplaces with fair wages and benefits, collective bargaining rights, and an affordable economy that puts people over greedy corporations―we’re also fighting back against the rise of authoritarianism in our streets and communities.
By sending the National Guard into cities including my own neighborhood in Washington, D.C., Trump is directly attacking vulnerable communities while attempting to silence dissent.
We’re not staying silent. We’re raising our voice and demanding a democracy of, by, and for the people, not billionaires and corporations.
As we mark this Labor Day weekend with activism to push back against Trump’s billionaire agenda, rush a contribution right now to power the resistance.

John,
Donald Trump ran on a promise to improve the lives of working people. But since taking office, he has gotten Congress to pass a tax and budget bill that slashes services, cuts health care and nutrition benefits, and hands massive tax cuts to millionaires, billionaires, and corporations.
He’s decimating the federal workforce―firing public servants who have dedicated their lives to serving our communities. The Social Security Administration alone has lost 7,000 Social Security experts.1 The Department of Education is a shell of its former self. The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is being forced out, reportedly over her disagreements with RFK, Jr. over vaccine policy.2
Meanwhile, Trump is invading cities with federal agents and the National Guard―terrorizing vulnerable communities while silencing dissent.
This is not a normal Labor Day where we honor and celebrate working people and the hard-fought victories of labor unions. It’s a Labor Day where working people are under relentless attack―where everyday people are being forced to pay more to greedy, price gouging corporations while seeing their after-tax income decline due to cuts to health care and nutrition benefits.
Rush a donation today to power our advocacy and activism to demand an economy that works for working people; a democracy that is of, by, and for the people, not billionaires; and to fight back against an authoritarian takeover of our communities.
RUSH A DONATION
Our movement is powered by everyday people who refuse to accept authoritarian rule and refuse to allow the dismantling of services and protections we need―including the firing of federal workers and attacks on their unions.
That’s why we led an effort, directing more than 90,000 messages to Congress, urging them to pass the bipartisan Protect America’s Workforce Act to defend federal workers’ rights.
And it’s why we’re co-sponsoring Workers Over Billionaires Labor Day rallies across the country.
This Labor Day weekend is marked by action and resistance in response to the billionaire takeover of our government. Rush a donation today to power our activism to demand an economy that benefits working people and a democracy of, by, and for the people, not billionaires.

We cannot stay on the sidelines while so much of what we have built together is being torn apart.
