There's a brand-new reason to spend some time above ground at?Indiana Caverns Family Adventure Park?in?Corydon.?The Bat Chaser, a first of its kind zip coaster in the Midwest, marries the best elements of ziplining, hang gliding and roller coasters. Indiana Caverns also just added a free-fall drop option named?The Plunge!
Take your pick of four different rides at?Holiday World & Splashin' Safari.?The Voyage was named the #2 Wooden Coaster in the World, and It is the tallest and longest in Indiana. Thunderbird was the nation's first launched wing coaster, and was named the World's #1 Wing Coaster by Amusement Today Golden Ticket in 2016.
In Splashin' Safari, the Mammoth holds a Guinness Book record for the World's Longest Water Coaster. There are five enclosed slide sections, and many twists and turns. The newest water ride, the Cheetah Chase, and the entire Splashin' Safari park opens on July 4. You can find that information?here.
Indiana Beach?re-opened under new ownership this summer. Originally named Ideal Beach, the park has been a mainstay in Monticello since 1926. Two rides top our list. The Steel Hawg allows guest to go upside-down through twists and turns. The Cornball Express is high-speed coaster featuring exciting drops.?
