John,
We are witnessing a famine in Gaza – while just minutes away from its borders sit hundreds of blocked aid trucks.
The world’s leading authority on hunger crises (IPC) has declared an emergency this dire only four times in its history. Without immediate global action to break the blockade, starvation, destitution and deaths will soar.
Israel’s relentless siege has pushed more than half a million people to the very edge of survival. Hospitals have no supplies. Families are going days without food. Babies and children are dying from starvation…And still the world’s most powerful governments watch in silence.
We refuse to do nothing.
A Thousand Madleens to Gaza is a coalition of civilians working to peacefully break Israel’s blockade and deliver aid. Named after Gaza’s first fisherwoman, Madleen Kulab, and the boat that carried her name, this campaign is a call to action — and a line of hope across the sea.
To set off immediately, we urgently need donations, big or small, to help:
- Buy boats to deliver food, medicine, and other essential humanitarian aid;
- Support volunteers with safety gear and supplies, legal protection, and logistics to coordinate safe launch points from multiple countries; and
- Fund international campaigning to end the genocide and illegal occupation and restore justice for the people in Gaza and beyond.
Every single action we take together moves us one step closer. Can you rush a donation to help launch a flotilla of aid and hope for Gaza?

Aid and hope are needed now more than ever. Let’s sail together—for Gaza.
