Happy Sunday, True Texans!
Earlier this week, Fran and I started our interviews with the statewide candidates hoping to earn a True Texan endorsement. You'll be able to watch those every month on our podcast throughout the rest of the year, starting Friday!
One of the interviews this week was especially significant to me for a couple reasons. We chatted with Nate Sheets, who is challenging Sid Miller for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. We've not made a decision who we'll support as we haven't even interviewed Sid yet, but my conversation with Nate took me on a walk down memory lane. Nate is the inventor of the EvangeCube, a tool I used for years in my missionary work to the Amazon, Haiti, Russia, India, and Guinea. Not only that, I used it with my daughter... and taught her to use it too.
Elections are important, and we work hard to put honorable men and women in office, but every one of them will disappoint us at some point or another because all of us fall short of the glory of God. This is just a reminder that your eternal salvation is more important than any election or political win. First things first!
The Bottom Line Have you ever scrolled through the links I put at the end of every weekly newsletter? Recently I added two new ones... the orange one and the teal one. Scroll down and check 'em out!
