John,
In northern Gaza, families burn animal feed for cooking fuel. In Rafah, parents crush dry corn meant for livestock into flour. In Deir al-Balah, children scavenge through rubble for anything edible.
This is not a famine caused by drought. It’s a famine engineered by siege, funded by U.S. tax dollars, and enforced by military violence. And every member of Congress who votes for more weapons is complicit.
The numbers are horrifying. Over 20,000 children were treated for acute malnutrition. One in three people in Gaza goes days without food. Palestinians are starving, collapsing, and dying just trying to find a piece of bread. And what does the Israeli military do? They shoot them.
Instead of using its power to stop the siege, the U.S. has funneled more than $22 billion in military aid to Israel since the assault began. Six separate votes in Congress. Six green lights for more bombs, more bullets, more starvation.
This is a defining moment. No member of Congress can claim to support human rights while voting for weapons that enforce apartheid and hunger.
Demand Congress end U.S. military aid to Israel immediately, halt all funding that enables war crimes, and act decisively to end this man-made famine before it claims even more lives.
We cannot keep treating this genocide as if it’s a political debate. Children are dying while aid trucks are turned away or bombed. Ceasefire talks are stalled. And still Congress funds the bullets used to kill starving people.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 325 people were killed in one week alone while attempting to retrieve aid. The UN confirms that at least 1,373 people were killed by Israeli forces between late May and the end of July while seeking food. These aren’t accidents. They’re war crimes, and our government is bankrolling them.
Grassroots pressure is growing. Congressional momentum to end U.S. involvement is building. But it won’t reach a tipping point without massive public outcry.
Demand Congress end U.S. military aid to Israel and stop this man-made famine in Gaza.
Together, we can make Congress confront the deadly cost of their votes.
