The reports of human rights abuses coming out of immigration detention centers are absolutely horrifying. Pregnant women are left without care, children as young as 2 are being denied critical medical treatment, and detainees are facing inhumane, unsanitary conditions and abuse.

This is a deliberate choice by the current administration to let cruelty thrive in the shadows. That’s why I’ve been working to conduct oversight of these facilities, demand answers, and hold ICE accountable for its actions.

But those in power want to censure me and put me in jail for doing my job. They’d rather silence me than face the truth. I’m not backing down—and I need you with me.
