Hi John,
You know your stuff on gas taxes – here’s the results of the quiz!
Most taxfighters knew that about 30 per cent of the price they’re paying at the pumps goes to the taxman.
Most people also knew that British Columbia, and specifically Vancouver have the highest fuel taxes in the country.
Sixty-five per cent of taxfighters knew that the west coast was charging the most. And 84 per cent knew that Vancouver was the city with the highest taxes on gas.
In fact, everyone was so suspicious of B.C. gas taxes that 63 per cent of supporters who took the quiz thought B.C. was the province that kept its consumer carbon tax on gas.
The right answer is Quebec. Only 10 per cent of supporters got that one right, but we can’t blame you, given B.C.’s track record.
Another surprise for quiz-takers was where the lowest gas prices in the country were.
About 80 per cent of supporters thought it was either Saskatchewan or Alberta, but Manitoba is the province with the lowest gas taxes.
Thanks for taking the Gas Tax Quiz - now let’s step up the fight.
Taxfighters like YOU are making a big difference – just look at how you defeated the federal consumer carbon tax when all the elites said it was here to stay.
Gas prices are about 18 cents cheaper per litre in most places because taxfighters like you said NO MORE carbon taxes to all levels of government.
Let’s do the same for GAS TAXES across the country.
Will you sign the petition calling on provincial and federal politicians to cut gas taxes?
Canadians need relief and politicians could make life more affordable today by cutting the big tax bill at the pumps.

Thank you for taking the Gas Tax Quiz. I quiz my kids on road trips about how much in taxes it costs to fill the vehicles that are passing us. I’m glad someone else wants to play along too! Please check out the petition if you want to cut gas taxes.
Sincerely,
