Aloha Friends,

I dream of changing the way Hawai‘i does business forever. I know times are
scary and uncertain and that’s why we need to move quickly to change things.

Tourism will always be an economic driver for us but it is clear we need to do
more. That’s why as a City CouncilmemberI took action, before the pandemic
started,to get the City to invest in new economic opportunities, I am:

* Bringing entrepreneurs and inventors to the table so we can invest in
economic opportunities with agriculture, energy and technology to make Hawai‘i
self-sufficient and resilient.
* Fixing broken policies, reducing fees and updating systems to make working
with the City easier and more efficient.
* Proposing cuts to budget increases and nice to have expenditures at the
City because maintaining essential city services must be the priority.
* Seeking to revive the tourism trends of the 1980’s when we had half the
number of visitors but higher overall daily spending and more state revenue.
Let’s dream big and change Hawai‘i’s future.

To be honest, we need an experienced city leader who can motivate the business
community and entrepreneurs to invest in us.We need a mayor that can pivot and
proceed on day one.

Above all, we need to make it easier to start and grow a business. As your
mayor, I commit to you that I will make economic growth a top priority. Change
starts now, with a resilient economy.

We only have a few days before the fundraising deadline and we need your help!
