"All that Luis wants desperately is to get out of detention, even if that means being deported to Venezuela," said Becca Sheff, senior staff attorney of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of New Mexico. "That’s what it’s come down to for him and for so many others." As we've noted several times before, the cruelty IS the point.
