I hope you have been well, healthy and enjoying the beautiful summer weather. This was another busy week for our team. As we have seen a rise in COVID-19 cases in California, we are aware that our communities are in need. That is why we have continued to engage with local individuals and groups helping the COVID-19 relief efforts across the 39th District.
Below is an update on what our campaign has been up to over the past week.
39th District Pitching In We are grateful to have been able to provide masks to Meals on Wheels in City of Industry. I want to thank them for all they are doing to help provide meals to our seniors who are in isolation and need support during this pandemic.
I was honored to join the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Orange County for their mask donation event. They organized the donation of over 200,000 masks for senior nursing homes throughout Orange County. A big thank you to them and all the organizations and the generous donors from the community who made this possible. Seniors are the most at-risk for COVID-19 and nursing homes are especially in need. These donations will go a long way to help those in our nursing homes and the frontline workers stay safe.
Town Hall For this week in our town hall series, we checked back in with Dr. Imran Sharief of Yorba Linda. He gave us an update on the COVID-19 pandemic, shared his experiences treating patients, and gave us information on how to stay healthy as we continue to reopen our economy. As infections in many parts of our country continue to rise, his perspective is valuable and insightful.
Re-opening the 39th District Over the weekend, a new order in California is now requiring Los Angeles County to close all bars while recommending that San Bernandino County take that same measure.
California is now requiring face masks in most public spaces. As we take steps towards recovery, let's continue to follow social distancing guidelines to stop the spread of COVID-19. Together we can keep our families, neighbors, and communities healthy and allow our economy to continue to open.

Volunteer on Our Campaign During this national health crisis, we have made major changes to our campaign. Our volunteer efforts are now completely online.
