Georgia’s National Guard becomes latest to support ICE operations after Kemp order

 

Crime in DC Down by Half Since Trump Deployed National Guard

Crime in Washington, DC, has dropped across all categories since President Trump ordered federal law enforcement into the streets of the nation’s capital earlier this month — with carjackings plummeting an astonishing 87% from the same period last year, Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser revealed Wednesday

 

“The federal surge has had a significant [decrease] on crime in Washington, DC, and we greatly appreciate the surge of officers that enhance what [DC’s Metropolitan Police Department] has been able to do in this city,” Bowser said at a press conference where she unveiled the latest crime data.

Ensuring Justice for Camp Lejeune Victims Act of 2025, H.R. 4145 (Rep. Murphy, R-NC) - This bill would make technical corrections to the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022 and amend which jurisdictions petitioners may seek relief in related to water poisoning at Camp Lejeune.

 

House Resolution recognizing six soldiers at Ft. Stewart who courageously responded to the recent active shooter incident (Rep. Buddy Carter R-GA) - The six soldiers are First Sgt. First, it is good to know how a disaster declaration is made. “When a disaster strikes, local government officials review the damage to determine the extent of the incident and its impact. If the state, Tribal Nation, or territory determine they need federal assistance, they submit a request for a federal disaster declaration.
