“Dan Patrick is a terrific and powerful Lieutenant Governor for the Great State of Texas, a place I truly love. I WON BIG in 2016, 2020, and 2024 (Getting the Highest Number of Votes for any Office in the History of Texas — Such an Honor!). As Texas Chair of our Historic Presidential Campaigns in 2016, 2020, and 2024, Dan has been an incredible friend to our Movement, helping me to WIN BIG in all Primaries and General Elections!
Dan’s leadership was pivotal in the passage of the new, fair, and much improved, Congressional Map, that will give the wonderful people of Texas the tremendous opportunity to elect 5 new MAGA Republicans in the 2026 Midterm Elections — A HUGE VICTORY for our America First Agenda. In his next Term, Dan will continue to fight tirelessly alongside of us to Secure our already Secure Border, Stop Migrant Crime and the Flow of Illegal Drugs into our Country, Grow the Economy, Cut Taxes and Regulations, Promote MADE IN THE U.S.A., Restore American Energy DOMINANCE, Champion School Choice, Support our Military/Vets, and Strongly Protect our always under siege Second Amendment.
A True Friend to MAGA from the very beginning, Dan Patrick has my Complete and Total Endorsement for Re-Election – HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”

Celebrating the Signing of Two Important Pro-Life Bills
[[link removed]][link removed]
Last Tuesday, we celebrated the signing of two important pro-life bills from the 89th Legislative Session. SB 31, the Life of the Mother Act, provides clarity for doctors in true medical emergencies, and SB 33 ensures taxpayer dollars are not used to fund out-of-state abortion travel.
I am grateful to Sen. Donna Campbell, R-New Braunfels, and Sen. Bryan Hughes, R-Tyler, for their steadfast leadership on these critical bills that protect both mothers and unborn children. Texas will always stand for life. Click here to watch the full bill signing [[link removed]].
Bills We Have Passed This Week

In the first special session, the Senate passed all 18 priority bills placed on the call by the Governor. In this second special session, we are doing it again. Plus, we are adding six or more important conservative victories, including a bill to make Ivermectin available over the counter.
Here is what we have passed in the last two weeks:
* SB 1 - The Heaven’s 27 Camp Safety Act, by Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock
* SB 2 - Natural Disaster Preparation and Recovery, by Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock
* SB 3 - Flood Emergency Communications and Warning, by Sen. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston
* SB 5 - Relief Funding for Hill Country, by Sen. Joan Huffman, R-Houston
* SB 6 - Banning THC, by Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock
* SB 8 - Protecting Women’s Spaces, by Sen. Mayes Middleton, R-Galveston
* SB 10 - Cutting Property Taxes, by Sen. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston
* SB 11 - Protecting Human Trafficking Victims, by Sen. Tan Parker, R-Flower Mound
* SB 12 - Attorney General Authority to Prosecute Election Crimes, by Sen. Bryan Hughes, R-Tyler
* SB 13 - Banning Taxpayer-Funded Lobbying, by Sen. Mayes Middleton, R-Galveston
* SB 14 - Water Project Incentives, by Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock
* SB 15 - Police Personnel Records, by Sen. Phil King, R-Weatherford
* SB 16 - Stopping Title Theft and Deed Fraud, by Sen. Royce West, D-Dallas
* SB 19 - Banning Campaign Fundraising During Special Sessions, by Sen. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston
* HB 8 - Phasing Out the STAAR Test, by Sen. Paul Bettencourt, R-Houston
* HB 25 - Making Ivermectin Easily Accessible, by Sen. Bob Hall, R-Edgewood
Stopping Any Political Fundraising by Legislative and Executive Branch Officeholders During a Special Session
[[link removed]]
I asked Sen. Bettencourt to file Senate Bill 19, which prohibits campaign fundraising during special legislative sessions, and I'm in full support. I believe we will have the votes to pass it to the Governor’s desk. Why? 1) It's consistent with the regular legislative session rules that prohibit fundraising in session while passing bills. 2) It greatly reduces quorum breaks because outsiders will not be able to fund the costs to travel outside Texas. 3) It will cut down on the number of special sessions and their length. Members want to complete their work quickly and effectively, so they can return home to their families and regular jobs.
The most important result is that this bill will keep legislators on task and save taxpayer money.
At times, there are important reasons to have a special session. It could be an emergency issue, or to finalize a few bills that still need to pass, but didn't quite make the regular session deadline.
We've had nine special sessions in just the last five years. That's just too many.
Happy Labor Day!
