 If your email inbox looks anything like mine, you’ve probably got a bunch of unopened emails from campaigns asking for help before this weekend’s upcoming deadline. So, yes, I know emails like this get to be pretty annoying. But I hope you’ll take a moment to let me explain why our campaign here in New Jersey really does need your support: 1) We’re one of only two governor’s races that will be decided in 2025. The election is just over two months away. “Fall short of our goal but hope to make up for it later” isn’t an option right now — because there is no “later” for us. Either we get the resources to get our message out on TV, online, and in person starting immediately, or we don’t. 2) Polls show what was already a close race getting even tighter. Ciattarelli’s super PAC has been attacking me relentlessly for weeks, and it’s clearly having an impact. These polls also show that over 10% of voters are still undecided — so if we don’t get our message out to them before Ciattarelli does, losing doesn’t just become a risk. It becomes a likelihood. 3) Anything you pitch in today may be matched 2:1 with public funds. That means your $5 donation means $15 for our campaign to reach out to undecided voters. A $50 donation has the impact of $150. A $100 donation means $300 — so anything you contribute matters a TON.
