Last week, Abby’s father reached out to you. He is proud of his daughter, as he should be. From day one, he taught her that hard work can solve almost any problem.

And as Abby’s fiancé, I’ve witnessed her put this principle into practice.

In 2018, just weeks after she was sworn in, she became the first of the new members, and the youngest woman ever, to pass a bill in the House of Representatives.

Abby grew up in a union household -- her father was a pipefitter welder -- and it’s important for her to lead the fight to strengthen union rights, worker safety, and wage growth. Three issues that have gone neglected by the Washington and Iowa GOP.

And, she’s worked tirelessly for years to ensure every Iowan has access to affordable health care -- and it’s needed now more than ever.

Abby’s only goal is to put Iowan families first, not Washington special interests. But doing that has put a target on her back from the GOP and their dark-money allies.

They’ve already spent $1 million on ads spreading misinformation, and they’re planning to spend almost four times more than that before November.
