SHF Files Lawsuit to hold CDC Accountable
What does it Say and Mean for the United States?
A Voice for Choice Advocacy works closely with Stand for Health Freedom, and is their representative organization in California. Together our organizations have been tracking the Center for Disease Control's (CDC) policies and recommendations on vaccination.
Last week, Stand for Health Freedom, along with Dr Kenneth Stoller and Dr Paul Thomas, filed a lawsuit (https://standforhealthfreedom.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/complaint2.pdf) that has been decades in the making. While childhood illness has exploded, the CDC has done little to protect American children or the doctors who have questioned the CDC's ever expanding vaccine schedule.
- The CDC mandates more than 72 doses for every child, see the schedule here (https://standforhealthfreedom.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/SHF_2025-schedule-5.pdf).
- The safety of the full vaccine schedule has never been studied.
- For over 20 years, the government’s own scientific advisors have urged the CDC to conduct these studies. The CDC ignored them.
- Doctors, like Dr Stoller and Dr Thomas, who dared to publish data or ask questions had their licenses suspended or revoked.
This lawsuit demands that a federal court finally hold the CDC accountable and is asking the court to:
- Strike down the CDC’s “Category A” framework that makes vaccines mandatory by default in nearly every state.
- Reclassify vaccines under “shared decision-making,” so parents and doctors can make individualized choices.
- Require the CDC to conduct long-overdue safety studies comparing fully vaccinated and unvaccinated children, as Congress has mandated.
This case is not about rejecting medicine. It is about demanding real science, informed consent, and medical freedom. SHF and AVFCA will continue to keep you updated on this lawsuit and our two active lawsuits challenging SB 277 (www.avoiceforchoiceadvocacy.org/avfca-litigation/):
- Religious Exemption Lawsuit – seeks to reinstate religious exemptions for K–12 school entry in California. This fight brings us full circle, back to the very reason AVFCA was founded in 2015, and is central to protecting families’ rights.
- Titer Testing Lawsuit – seeks to allow antibody titers as an alternative to vaccination for school requirements.
