Trump’s self-named “Big Beautiful Bill” is going to be a disaster for people across the country. Oregon alone is projected to lose $15 billion in federal funding — your tax money not coming to Oregon for health care, food benefits, and other essential services.

The Trump Administration and Republicans in Congress have betrayed American children and families, who will become sicker, hungrier, and less prosperous because of this budget bill.

But I’m not going to stand by while Oregonians lose their tax dollars and our safety net to fund tax cuts for billionaires.

I am going to work with lawmakers and community partners to do all that we can to stand up for Oregonians and get through this needless, callous hardship. I will continue to hold the line and push back as Oregon values are under threat.
