Today, the Supreme Court struck down a medically unnecessary Louisiana abortion restriction. This means access to safe, legal abortion in Louisiana is protected for now, but attacks on our reproductive rights continue. The court ruled that Louisiana's abortion restriction, which is identical to one it struck down four years ago in Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt, cannot stand under that precedent — it is unconstitutional to impose medically unnecessary laws that burden a person's right to safe, legal abortion.
Though today's ruling is a victory for access to abortion in Louisiana, the onslaught of attacks on our health care access is far from over. Sixteen other cases on abortion access are still one step away from the Supreme Court — and any one of them opens the door to restrict or nullify Roe v. Wade altogether.
We need your help to continue to protect and expand access to health care for everyone who needs it. Don't wait: All gifts made by midnight tomorrow will be double matched, $2-for-$1, up to a total of $250,000.

Access to essential health care should be a right — not a privilege. That includes receiving birth control. Getting an STI screening. Having a safe, legal abortion. Getting expert sexual and reproductive health care without judgment or prohibitive cost.
But for millions of people around the country — Black and Latinx people, people with low-incomes, women — there are still huge barriers to getting these essential services. Planned Parenthood will never stop protecting and providing for their critical needs.
This is why we urgently need your support. Make your 3X MATCHED gift by tomorrow's midnight deadline to put THREE TIMES the funds behind our mission: Care, no matter what.
