Building Healthier Futures
Celebrating the 8th Annual South Texas Summit

We just wrapped the 8th Annual South Texas Adolescent Health Summit in the Rio Grande Valley, where registration sold out twice, showing the community’s strong commitment to adolescent wellbeing in a region with teen birth rates 50% higher than the state average.

More than 175 social workers, counselors, educators, and clinicians came together to address issues like teen dating violence prevention, reproductive health access, inclusive language, and HIV prevention. The Summit highlighted the power of collective impact to expand access, strengthen care, and create lasting change so every young Texan can build healthy relationships.

Thank you to all who made this possible. Together, we’re creating stronger communities. Watch the recap video.

“Attending the Adolescent Health Summit provided our team at CACOST (Community Action Corporation of South Texas) with valuable resources, insights, and networking opportunities that we can use to strengthen the work we do with youth every day.”

— Program Manager, CACOST
