A father in Gaza and a couple in New York unite around one mission: helping children survive.

John, when IRC Ambassadors Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody sat down with our Senior Nutrition Manager Mohammed Mansour on Morning Joe, something powerful happened. Two families—one in New York, one in Gaza—connected over a shared mission to help children survive.

Mohammed shared what worries him most: his 8-year-old daughter asking when she can go back to school, or when they can go to a restaurant again. In short: when will they return to normalcy? "I cannot find any answers for those questions," he told them. But Mohammed's mother gives him strength, telling him: "People need you. Don't give up. Keep up your amazing work."

Despite the challenges that Mohammed and others in Gaza face daily, the IRC continues delivering critical nutrition support, clean water and protection services to families across Gaza.

Your support makes Mohammed's life-saving work possible. Thank you so much.

P.S. Mohammed said something that stayed with me: "It is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a crisis of humanity." Right now, the IRC has over five tons of medical supplies sitting outside Gaza, waiting for access. This is exactly why humanitarian access matters—and why your voice matters too. Read more about why it's so hard to deliver aid in Gaza and other crisis zones, and what we can do about it.
