Hey team —

Last week, I joined Bianna Golodryga on CNN to talk about Groundwork Project and our approach to, what I believe, is the defining challenge of our time: the relentless attacks on our democracy by those in power who will do anything not to lose that power.
At Groundwork, we’re focused on an essential part of the solution — supporting local organizers in the places where the opposition draws its strength. The “red” states, the “tough” states, the places most folks think aren’t worth attention.
But we know that when our communities are organized, our collective power is stronger. Stronger, even, than the unrelenting anti-democratic forces we are up against.
That’s where Groundwork Project comes in. We’re supporting local changemakers who are organizing in the toughest places — taking on our country’s biggest issue at its source.
Here’s the bottom line: real political change doesn’t come from Washington; it comes from building people power in local communities. Can you chip in to keep pushing our work forward?

We have to keep organizing like our democracy depends on it — because it does.
