John, we have some good news and bad news:
The good news: Our movement is strong. On Tuesday, Jamaal Bowman defeated Eliot Engel in New York’s 16th District, pulling off a major victory for Justice Democrats.
But here’s the bad news: We still have to raise $15,000 before tomorrow at midnight to reach our $225,000 end-of-quarter goal.
We did the math and if two people from xxxxxx chipped in right now, we’d get back on track to hitting our goal. Every single contribution makes a difference.
Since day one, Justice Democrats has been funded by grassroots donations from people who are dedicated to transforming the Democratic Party from the inside out to become the party that fights for its voters, not corporate donors. It is because of your support that Justice Democrats even exists.
We don’t take money from corporate special interests because we know that’s not the way to build a diverse working-class movement. The way to build this movement is from the ground up, with grassroots power from supporters just like you.
We’re in an existential fight for the soul of the Democratic Party. We’re up against corporate-backed incumbents who are spending big to hold onto their power.
And with Jamaal’s major victory last week, we know that the establishment is going to fight back harder than ever to stop us. That’s why contributions right now are so important.
Thank you for being a part of our movement.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
