Over the weekend, Trump's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) ordered companies to stop construction on a wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island.1 This project was so close to being finished, John. And it's just one of the many clean energy projects Trump has shut down or slowed down since taking office.
But the clean energy revolution can't be stopped. People want justly sourced, clean, affordable renewable energy — not more dirty, dangerous fossil fuels. And we can't let the Trump administration stand in our way.

The Trump administration just halted construction on a nearly completed wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island.1 We can’t let this outrageous attack on renewable energy go unopposed.
This order was issued by Trump’s acting director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Matt Giacona — a former lobbyist for offshore oil drillers.2
Will you add your name to demand BOEM Acting Director Matt Giacona stop blocking offshore wind?
This stop-work order is just the latest attempt by the Trump administration to stop the clean energy revolution. They’ve also halted new offshore wind projects, made it harder for clean energy projects to get tax credits, and even ordered coal plants to stay open.3,4
John, the fossil fuel industry and its allies in the Trump administration are doing this because they’re scared. They know that justly sourced, clean community renewable energy works, and it could put them out of business.
So, they’re doing everything in their power to block clean energy progress, and we can’t let them. A livable future on our planet is at stake.
