As Secretary of State, I have a duty to confront false information about our election system.

 

Earlier this week, here's what President Trump sent to his 80 million followers on Twitter:

 

 

The President's tweet is totally false. This kind of misinformation is dangerous.

 

We need to put an end to these false attacks. Pitch in $25, $50, or $100 today and help us in the fight to keep our elections open and honest. The stakes are high, and I value your support.

 

In Minnesota, multiple safeguards ensure that a counterfeit ballot scheme would simply not work. We've had absentee balloting by mail for decades. People across the political spectrum use it, trust it, and love it.

 

In this high-stakes election year I'll keep correcting the record when people, including the President of the United States, make false statements about our democracy.
