Pride might feel a little bit different this year since we can’t get together in person to celebrate. But, Pride hasn’t been canceled, it’s just taking a new form this year!
When NCTE was founded almost two decades ago, we made a pledge to do the work it takes every single day to ensure all trans people enjoy equality under the law. That promise still stands in spite of the challenges we face, whether from global pandemics, or discrimination from politicians.
And that is precisely why we need your help. Tomorrow is Give OUT Day, the only national day of giving specifically for the LGBTQ community, and we want to make 2020 our loudest and proudest Give Out Day ever!

Though there’s physical distance between us, Pride knows no bounds.
The recent decision by the Supreme Court in our favor shows exactly what we’ve known all along, that LGBTQ people deserve the same protections as every American. But, with any fight, there is still a lot of work to be done. Everyday, we see the Trump Administration continue to push their discriminatory agenda in areas like healthcare and housing. But, NCTE will not rest until discriminatory laws – and politicians – have no power over us. Your generosity this Give OUT Day will help us continue the hard fights on behalf of the LGBTQ community!
