At The Center, we believe every young person deserves a safe, affirming space where they can thrive. Our Youth Drop-In Center < [link removed] > is open Monday through Friday after school, providing LGBTQ+ youth with a welcoming environment, free meals, peer support, leadership opportunities, and access to mental health resources.
We also offer arts and creative expression programs, educational workshops, and connectionsto trusted adults who can help navigate challenges—whether it’s dealing with bullying, finding inclusive healthcare, or simply needing a place to belong.
This school year, we’re committed to making sure LGBTQ+ youth don’t just make it through, but truly flourish—and we can’t do it without you. Whether you’re a parent, educator, ally, or supporter, you play a vital role in helping young people feel seen, valued, and loved.

Shout Out: Members Making a Difference!
This summer, The Center made a mini-tour connecting with our community outside the city. Special thanks to Jeff and Jeffery in Provincetown; Ben, Sharon, and David in Water Mill; and Rick and Peter in Fire Island Pines—all who hosted meet and greet events with The Center’s CEO, Dr. Carla Smith, to make new friends and share updates on our work for the LGBTQ+ community. We love when our ambassadors take an extra step to connect changemakers to our mission.Would you like to host a reception for The Center at your home? Email us at
