Hey there, it’s Brittany. We have a big fundraising deadline coming up on Sunday night, and to be completely transparent, online donations from your zip code have taken a dip lately. Can you help us get things back on course? [[link removed]]

Look, I’ve heard what MAGA Republicans say about me behind my back: They believe a young mom like me should stay at home, keep quiet, and be polite. They treat me like an outsider in the good old boys club that is Washington.
Well, in a way, these Republicans aren’t wrong. I am an outsider in Congress — and proud of it.
See, I don’t have a background like most others in Congress. I didn’t go to some fancy private school, and I wasn’t handed a million-dollar trust fund when I turned 18.
I grew up in a working-class family. I became the first person in my family to graduate from high school. And I paid my own way through college as a waitress.
As a young mom from a working-class family, it’s no secret that I stick out in Washington. That background may pose a threat to all the wealthy, older men who run the Republican Party — but I think you’ll agree: It’s a perspective that is sorely needed right now in our government.
If you believe a voice like mine belongs in Washington, will you chip in before our next big fundraising deadline on Sunday night? I know this fundraising email probably won’t be the highlight of your day — but with House Republicans raising millions to attack Democrats like me and expand their majority in Congress, it’s necessary. Congress wasn’t built for people like me. But with your help, we can change that.
