John, today we're officially launching our End-of-Month drive — with the goal of raising $15,000 before midnight on August 31. 

This fund is critical to ensuring EMILYs List has the resources to go on offense in upcoming elections and stay on defense against Donald Trump and his Republican lapdogs.

Here's what’s at stake:

On offense: 

Primaries begin in September, and key governors' races are coming in November. The Democratic pro-choice women we've endorsed need strong support to organize on the ground and reach voters before they head to the polls. This fund will help lift them up in some of the toughest, most competitive races in the country.

On defense: 

Trump and his allies are already spreading lies and laying the groundwork to undermine the 2026 election — including vows to end mail-in voting. November 2026 may feel far off, but the disinformation campaign has already begun, and setting the record straight needs to happen NOW. 

This is what it means to be ready: we can’t wait until September, November, or 2026. We must act today.
