John,

Mary Gay here. I wanted to chat with you about how things are going on the campaign trail for us and our incredible candidates. This might be a longer email than you’re used to reading from me, but I wanted to give you some really important updates and let you know how you can help elect Democratic frontline candidates in the upcoming elections. I’ve been holding town halls in red districts, the kinds of places often written off as too tough, too Republican. Out of reach. But I believe we win by showing up and giving folks a different option. Especially when my GOP colleagues refuse to be accountable to voters with valid questions about just what is happening in Washington right now.

That’s why I’m on the road partnering with incredible candidates who are running to flip those seats from red to blue. I’m helping elevate their voices and answer tough questions in these districts.

This work matters not only for their campaigns — but for the future we are all building together, one that values folks who believe in putting in the work.

When I join our frontline candidates, I don’t want to show up empty-handed. These folks are risking everything to run for office at a frightening time in order to flip their districts and fight back. And I want to have real checks in hand to give them.

That’s why I’m here asking: can you help me raise another $4,200 before midnight on August 31 so we can put our money where our mouth is, keep building momentum, and show up strong in every flippable district? [[link removed]]

These aren’t just symbolic visits.

We’re putting together joint comms and fundraising appearances that give candidates the visibility — and the backup — they need.

Every single town hall we host delivers a message loud and clear: “You are not alone in this fight. We see you, we believe in you — and we’re going to help you win.”

But we need the resources to keep going. I want to help more candidates — especially women candidates — step up, speak out, and take back power from the extremists who’ve hijacked too many of our communities.

That starts with showing up — and backing them up with real support. Help me raise $4,200 before August 31 so I can keep doing both. [[link removed]]

Thanks for being part of this fight — and for believing, like I do, that fighters like me belong everywhere decisions are being made.

— Mary Gay
The contemporary political landscape is filled with progressive women who are running for elected office up and down the ballot, who possess a true vision of equality for this country's future. A Woman's Place seeks to support their efforts by providing financial resources to embrace this tongue-in-cheek idea of what a woman's place should be.
We help put women where they belong: positions of political leadership throughout all levels of government.
