John,

New York City’s story is a tapestry of courage, resilience, and belonging woven by generations of immigrants. This fall, we’re kicking off the New York Proud campaign by celebrating that legacy together in the streets, on the subway, and at PAC NYC.

Join the New York Immigration Coalition and Waterwell ([link removed]) , a civic-minded theater company and education lab, for an unforgettable afternoon of immigration stories, live music, and camaraderie on September 6, 2025. Listen to artists and civic leaders share powerful tales of what it means to belong in NYC—past, present, and future.
RSVP for Free ([link removed])

📅 Saturday, Sept 6, 2025

📍 Perelman Performing Arts Center ([link removed]) (PAC NYC) | 6 WTC, 251 Fulton Street, New York

Participating Artists include:
Arian Moayed, Emmy and Tony-nominated actor (“Succession”), Co-Founder of Waterwell

And don’t forget to visit the 2025 edition of New York Proud ([link removed]) public art exhibit at the Flatiron Public Plaza ([link removed]) all month, in partnership with Photoville. The exhibition features portraits of immigrant New Yorkers from all walks of life and a wide array of professions who are socially, culturally and economically enriching New York City. (For dates and locations of our Photoville pop-up exhibits in all five boroughs, visit immigrantsareny.org.)

You can also view select portraits in our subways ad campaign and in bus shelters throughout the city, starting this Labor Day weekend, in partnership with the New York Civil Liberties Union.

These are more than events; New York Proud ([link removed]) is a tribute to the voices, stories and the people that make our city great! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors to honor the immigrant spirit that defines us.

In power,

Murad Awawdeh
President and CEO
