John,
Anger is not getting us anywhere. I am dealing with it too, we all are.
The news is infuriating. What Trump and MAGA are doing is a desecration of our country and our Constitution. Rage may feel good for a split second, but in the end it is counterproductive. It is human nature, but we cannot get stuck there.
Every time we turn to our phones to check in on what is going on, our hearts drop. It does not matter if it is innocent folks working hard at manual labor jobs, struggling to provide for their families, only to be torn away from them, or children simply playing, only to be bombed and starved by U.S.-funded Israeli troops.
We are living in a bleak time, and unfortunately, I have more awful news to share with you; it is about to get worse. The Israeli military is now ramping up efforts to storm Gaza, killing indiscriminately in a bid to permanently seize the land.
Earlier this week, they even stormed Palestinian banks in the West Bank and stole the money. Their “double tap” operation is as cruel as it gets; they bomb a hospital once, wait until rescue workers and journalists arrive, then bomb it again.
This is who and what we are funding. The ironic part is that Israeli troops are entering Gaza at the same time American troops are preparing to enter our own cities. They have already been deployed in Washington, D.C., and now they are gearing up for Chicago and New York.
We have to stick together in times like this, and by together, I mean Americans and humans against the corporate monstrosities that have taken over the powers that be in this country, including the DNC. The corporate-controlled media may not cover it, but people are talking. More importantly, we are rallying around elected leaders and new candidates who are speaking out. The only way we fix this is at the ballot box.
In the meantime, we use our microphone strategically and effectively. At the end of the day, no matter how they try to spin it, more people agree with us than with them. They can take their trillions of dollars and shove it. We want to live in a country that embraces everyone, regardless of where they come from, their economic means, their skin color, or their religion. That is what it means to be a Democrat.
That is why we fight, why we will not give up, and why we are going to win. We have a lot of wrongs we must undo.
