Friend,
On Monday September 1st, we're kicking off our 5th Annual Waymakers Mileage Challenge.
Together, our community will log 20,000 miles —a powerful act of solidarity with immigrant children whose own journeys across borders were taken in search of safety. Our goal: to raise $100,000.
At a time when immigrant children and their families are under attack, every step we take in honor of their journey counts. We need your support to ensure that every mile logged helps raise critical funds that move children closer to safety and freedom.
When you form a team, create a fundraiser, and spread the word, you’re helping children like Cristian*.
Cristian is a boy from Guatemala, traveled more than 1,600 miles before being separated from his mother. Without interpretation for her Indigenous language, her pleas to be reunited with him went unheard. Cristian faced the heartbreaking possibility of growing up without her—until a Young Center Child Advocate stepped in. Thanks to that advocacy, both voices were finally heard, and Cristian was safely reunited with his mother.
Every step you take helps rewrite stories like Cristian’s. Log your miles and watch your impact grow—because every step is a dollar, every mile a chance to bring children closer to safety.
Will you join us in taking that step to reach 20,000 miles and $100,000 raised this September?
