Our next FEC deadline is rapidly approaching. With statewide elections in Virginia and New Jersey coming up, and the Trump administration doubling down on executive overreach, having a strong, united Democratic Party is more important than ever.

In just a moment, we’ll be asking you to make a 2025 contribution to the DNC to help us gather the resources we’ll need to get Democrats elected at all levels of government — this year and beyond. But first, we want to explain why your support is so important right now:

- Statewide elections in both New Jersey and Virginia will be here before we know it. These are our first major opportunities to vote Democrats into statewide office who will hold Trump and the GOP accountable — and in Virginia’s case, the only opportunity we have to flip a gubernatorial seat this year.


- In California, Governor Gavin Newsom has officially called for a statewide ballot measure to counter Republicans’ attempts to steal five congressional seats in Texas. This measure would not only level the playing field in the 2026 midterms, but would give the people their rightful opportunity to choose their representatives.


- Trump’s agenda is historically unpopular, and we have a real opportunity to flip Congress in 2026. But only if we get to work now. We’re going after vulnerable House Republicans in 35 key districts. We’re coming for Senate seats in states like North Carolina and Ohio. But work like this demands a massive organizing operation nationwide.

Your contribution goes toward supporting all of this work — not just to win in states like Virginia and New Jersey this fall, but to fight back against Trump’s agenda and lay the groundwork to check his power by taking back Congress.
