Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing on the proposed City of Cody Service Line Examination Vacuum Excavator Truck Project (Project) will be held in the Council Chambers of City Hall on the 16nd day of September, 2025, at 7:00 pm or as soon thereafter as practical. Any and all persons interested may appear and be heard respecting the Project.
The Project will include funds to purchase a vacuum excavation truck for the purpose of completing a water service line material inventory to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Lead and Copper Rule Improvements initiative. A more detailed summary of the planned improvements, cost estimates, and funding plan can also be reviewed at the Public Works Administration Office at Cody City Hall by contacting Kris Bruxvoort, E.I., Staff Engineer, at (307) 527-3477.
Based on the current Project cost estimates, the City of Cody plans to borrow $1,000,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. The user charges for water service within the City will not increase as a direct result the Project, and future user charge increases will generally follow the recommendations of the City of Cody 2021 Water Master Plan. The State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan terms are anticipated to be 0% interest rate for 10 years, with approximately $250,000 of principal forgiveness.
Written comments about the Project are welcome. Please submit any written comments to Kris Bruxvoort, E.I., Staff Engineer, at [email protected] before 5.00 p.m. local time on Monday September 15, 2025.
