Good morning,

There is a very good chance you didn't wake up this morning and think, "I am going to make a contribution to Elissa Slotkin" today. Probably a near certainty.

But that is what we are asking you to do -- and it matters. Let us explain why:

Let us set the table by reminding you that Elissa is one of a small number of Democratic Senators who represents a state won by Donald Trump. She knows how to find her voters and turn them out, even in so-called "red" areas. We call that "losing better."

Now there are two things your contribution will go toward:

1. Elissa is going to be traveling a bit, helping to elect Democrats in tough races. You may have just seen she was in Wisconsin campaigning for Rebecca Cooke, who narrowly lost her last try at the House and is going at it again.

2. Here in Michigan, we have an open Senate seat, a governor's race, and a whole host of other elections. Elissa's voice is important in all of them.
