This report includes general outlooks for big and small game, and is based on data and observations from the field by Game and Fish biologists and game wardens.

Last-chance hunter education courses available
For anyone planning to hunt this year, the time to complete your required hunter education course is now. As fall hunting seasons rapidly approach, the Wyoming Game and Fish Department is offering a final series of classes in multiple formats throughout the coming months, and spaces are filling up quickly.
Reminder of sage-grouse permit requirement
Free annual sage-grouse hunting permits are available again through the Game and Fish Department. These permits, initiated in 2024, are part of an ongoing effort to enhance the department’s efforts to survey sage-grouse hunters and gather information on hunting experiences.
Applications open for Antelope Hunt Event
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has opened applications for organizations to apply for Antelope Hunt Event licenses. Organizations can submit applications to the department until August 31.

Conservation in Wyoming
