John, last week in El Paso, I looked out at a crowd of Texans—organizers, volunteers, neighbors—and I saw something amazing.

Beto standing at the center of a crowd of supporters in El Paso.

I saw the real center of power in America. Not the people sitting in the White House. Not the billionaires funding their agenda. Not the Supreme Court justices doing their bidding.

I saw the power of people standing up to the would-be tyrants who currently hold power. Trump and his allies are trying to hijack this country and complete their corrupt, criminal power grab. And right now, we are the ones who stand in his way.

In Texas, the GOP has redrawn our congressional maps to steal five additional seats for themselves—not because they earned them, but because they rigged the system.

And if we fail to win back the House in 2026, we know what’s coming: More plainclothes federal agents sweeping Americans off the streets without warrants. More political retribution, targeting anyone who dares to stand in opposition. A GOP Congress laying out the royal red carpet for a Trump third term.

This is the road to authoritarianism. And they’ve made it clear—they’ll rig every rule, redraw every line, and break every norm to get there.

They want us to feel hopeless. Helpless. Like this is inevitable. Like nothing we do matters. But they are wrong. What these guys still don’t understand is this: Our knees do not bend. We do not submit. We fight back.

Will you chip in now to help keep the pressure on and organize everywhere? Let’s meet this moment with everything we’ve got.
