John, I have been truly overwhelmed by the support that you have shown me and my team. Although the full results of our primary election aren’t in just yet, it’s imperative that we keep building our resources to take on Lee Zeldin this November. That’s why I am checking in today regarding our general election fundraising and what we need to do in order to stop Zeldin in November.
As you know, Rep. Lee Zeldin has fully embraced Trump’s policies and shamelessly defended his abuses of power. He even joined Trump at his rally in Tulsa just days before our primary.
But here are the facts: Donald Trump’s approval rating in NY-01 is now underwater, and if we can reach enough voters with my background as a scientist, we can defeat Zeldin. But we’ve got to go toe-to-toe with the corporate dollars that have been funneled into his campaign.
June 30 is the deadline for the first FEC filing period of the general election, and it’s imperative that we demonstrate the strength behind our campaign. Every gift, no matter how small, is a powerful investment in our campaign for NY-01.
A strong result will send a message about our issue-focused campaign. It will show that people on Long Island want a representative who will offer bold solutions on issues such as climate change and health care and who will be serious about protecting our future.
