The IDF is continuing to increase the military pressure on Hamas while also facilitating increased humanitarian aid to Gazan civilians.
Today, the IDF announced that it killed Hamas' General Security Apparatus leader in western Gaza, a senior Hamas official who was a "significant source of knowledge" for the terror group.
IDF troops are also operating around Gaza City and in Khan Yunis, eliminating additional terrorists and dismantling terror infrastructure above and below ground.
Meanwhile, Israel is continuing to surge humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Just yesterday, more than 280 aid trucks entered Gaza via the Kerem Shalom and Zikim crossings, 111 pallets of aid were airdropped into Gaza, and 330 trucks were distributed by the U.N. Hundreds of additional trucks are still sitting on the Gazan side of the border waiting to be distributed by the U.N.
Today, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) distributed more than 1.5 million meals directly to Gazan civilians.
Since its inception, GHF has distributed more than 140 million meals through four distributions sites.
Today, IDF International Spokesperson Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani announced that two additional humanitarian distribution sites will be opened in southern Gaza.
Also today, President Donald Trump chaired a “large meeting” at the White House to discuss the administration's “comprehensive plan” for Gaza.
Israeli Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer attended the meeting.
The meeting was announced by U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff, who said yesterday that he hopes the Gaza war will be ended by the end of the year.
Referring to the plan, Witkoff said in an interview that, “Many people are going to see how robust it is and how well meaning it is, and it reflects President Trump’s humanitarian motives.”
Hamas is prolonging the suffering of Israelis and Palestinians. The war could end tomorrow if Hamas releases the hostages, lays down its arms and relinquishes power.
America and international community must increase the pressure on Hamas to release all the hostages and surrender.

Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. interviewed on CNN
Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Yechiel Leiter was on CNN's The Lead with Jake Tapper to discuss the war in Gaza.
"It has to be very clear: This war ends when Hamas ends. We need to see this war end where Hamas is disarmed, where Gaza is demilitarized, and where all of our hostages are out," Ambassador Leiter said.
"We're not going back to a situation like October 6th when the country was being held hostage... by jihadis at our border."
New poll highlights continued support for Israel against Hamas
A new Harvard-Harris poll of 2,025 registered voters from August 20-21 shows that the majority of Americans continues to stand with the Jewish state in its just and moral war against Hamas.
Some key findings:
74% of Americans support Israel in its war against Hamas.
78% of Americans believe that Hamas must face serious consequences if it does not unconditionally release all the remaining hostages.
58% of Americans think any final hostage agreement with Hamas must include the terror group leaving Gaza.
Israeli, American air force officials hold annual working group
Commander of the Israeli Air Force Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar met last week in Israel with the Commander of the United States Air Forces Central, Lt. Gen. Derek France.
The meeting took place as part of a tenth-annual air force conference held between the two countries.
According to an Israeli readout, "The parties held professional meetings on operational cooperation, training, and force build-up. They examined ways to deepen strategic cooperation in the face of shared challenges in the region and jointly formulated a work plan for 2026."
This year's conference comes just months after the unprecedented cooperation between the two air forces during Israel's Operation Rising Lion and America's Operation Midnight Hammer against Iran's nuclear program.
The mission of AIPAC is to encourage and persuade the U.S. government to enact specific policies that create a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial relationship with our ally Israel.
