Did you hear this latest update on the critical redistricting saga, John?

Last week, the Texas House approved the new gerrymandered maps that Donald Trump ordered them to scribble together overnight. The goal of this map is to eliminate 5+ Democratic seats and stack the deck to make it impossible for Democrats to retake the U.S. House Majority.

But in response, Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation calling for a November ballot measure on the Election Rigging Response Act — a law that ensures any Democratic seats that Republicans eliminate in Texas can be neutralized here in California.

Proposition 50 is officially going to be on the ballot this November, so, it’s GAME ON. That means that we need to be ready to win this ballot measure starting now.

Passing Prop 50 in November isn’t going to be an easy task. Early voting will start in just a matter of weeks. That means we have weeks to get the word out about a new election, convince undecided voters to vote YES, and save our chances of flipping the U.S. House.
