The Trump administration just halted construction on a nearly completed wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island.1 We can’t let this outrageous attack on renewable energy go unopposed.
This order was issued by Trump’s acting director of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Matt Giacona — a former lobbyist for offshore oil drillers.2

This stop-work order is just the latest attempt by the Trump administration to stop the clean energy revolution. They’ve also halted new offshore wind projects, made it harder for clean energy projects to get tax credits, and even ordered coal plants to stay open.3,4
John, the fossil fuel industry and its allies in the Trump administration are doing this because they’re scared. They know that justly sourced, clean community renewable energy works, and it could put them out of business.
So, they’re doing everything in their power to block clean energy progress, and we can’t let them. A livable future on our planet is at stake.
