I launched my campaign for Maryland’s U.S. Senate seat. Together we built a movement, broke fundraising records, navigated a tough primary, defeated the GOP’s star candidate on Election Day, and made American history. 

January 3, 2025

I swore an oath to serve Maryland faithfully in the U.S. Senate. It was just weeks before Donald Trump took office, and I knew I’d have my work cut out for me.  

Since that day, I’ve proudly worked for the people of Maryland on kitchen-table issues (affordable housing, uterine fibroid research, tax benefits) and big, historic challenges (equality, voting rights, law and order) alike.

Today, tomorrow, & every day

Each day, our leaders hurt more innocent people and inject more hate and lies into the nation’s bloodstream. 

In this time of deep uncertainty, no one can predict what tomorrow will bring. But I do know this: No one has ever regretted doing what was right. 

There’s never been a more important time to stand on principle than right now, and taking a stand is most effective when we stand together.
