Dear Friend,

Imagine spending the long, hot days of summer confined to a barren patch of dirt
with no way to find relief from the scorching temperatures.

Right now, dogs are languishing in lonely backyards , often with heavy chains
weighing down their necks. Some have nothing more than a dilapidated plastic
shelter or a flimsy board propped against a fence to provide some shade from the
sun's sweltering rays— many have no shade at all. For these dogs, a sturdy
PETA-built doghouse can mean the difference between life and an agonizing death
from the heat.

We need your help right now to provide as many doghouses as we can—as quickly as
we can.

Please, become a doghouse sponsor and help a dog in desperate need. As an added
bonus, give today and our friends at v-dog will generously donate 5 pounds of
healthy, vegan dog food to feed a hungry dog.

By sponsoring a PETA doghouse, you'll be helping to provide a neglected dog with
sturdy, year-round shelter and some relief from the scorching heat and violent
storms of summer and the icy winds of winter.

* You'll give a dog relief. When our fieldworkers find pups tormented by
parasites or without adequate food or water, we do all that we can to make
their lives a little better. Make an urgently needed sponsorship gift now.

* You'll give a dog hope. While there's no substitute for a loving, indoor
home, with almost every doghouse that we deliver, we leave a toy to provide
some escape from the monotony of life in a barren backyard. We also replace
heavy chains with lightweight tie-outs that allow dogs more freedom to move.
Your sponsorship is crucial to helping more dogs.

* You'll give a dog affection. Our work doesn't end after we deliver a doghouse.
PETA fieldworkers continue to visit the animals, sometimes for years on end,
to check on their well-being and give them treats and much-needed affection—
often the only kindness and respect that many of these sweet, neglected pups
receive. On occasion, our visits even help persuade owners to surrender their
dogs to us or allow them indoors. Change a dog's life by sponsoring a doghouse
today.

Please don't wait—dogs trapped outside need you now . Sponsor
a doghouse today and v-dog will chip in 5 pounds of dog food so that we can do
even more to help dogs make it through the long weeks of summer ahead.
