Dear
Friend,
We won
today. But the struggle for liberation
continues. There is still a
lot to do. And this is where I need your support.
Today the Supreme Court upheld
keeping abortion legal in this country, BUT this essential care
remains out of reach for far too many, and we cannot stop fighting until each
person can get the abortion they need.
Do you believe we must rise up to end the
systemic racism and other deep inequities that prevent people from
accessing abortions without shame, stigma, or financial
barriers?
As a part
of the reproductive justice movement, URGE is people-powered. Our
members are Black and Brown, queer, trans, and
nonbinary, women, and low-income people.
And our
community is supported by people like you pitching in, on average, $5
at a time. It might not sound like much, but with people from across
the country chipping in, we really can grow and build
young people’s power in the
reproductive justice movement.
To
celebrate this morning's win, and keep the momentum going, will you
make a gift of $5 today?
The
hundreds of abortion restrictions across the country are part of a
centuries’-old scheme to control the reproductive
destinies of Black and Indigenous people and women of
color. And though the
Louisiana law is gone, those restrictions remain.
With your
support today, we will tear down the wall of restrictions that young
people face when seeking abortion care.
Remember: True change doesn't
come from the courts —
it comes from our communities, when we organize and build lasting
power together.
En
Solidaridad,
