Request for Proposals for transit-oriented development guidance
Proposals are due Sept. 30
The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking proposals from qualified firms interested in preparing guidance documents for developing effective transit-oriented development (TOD) station areas, consistent with recently enacted TOD legislation [ [link removed] ]. This work will include, but it not limited to providing:
* a guidebook for developing TOD areas
* a model ordinance and templates for implementation of TOD
* providing a quick guide for the public and local policymakers
* videos, case studies, factsheets and other tools to support TOD implementation
Funding for this project will not exceed $350,000. Funding will be made available in separate fiscal years, with $75,000 available from Nov. 3, 2025, to June 30, 2026, and $275,000 from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Commerce intends to award one contract for this solicitation.
