Environment Colorado Banner

John,

A new threat to our forests was just put in motion.

The Forest Service could open 45 million acres of our wild forests to road-building, logging, mining and drilling. And the clock is already ticking down -- the agency is accepting public input for just three weeks.1

Will you donate now to help us generate as much public support for our forests as possible?

Defend our forests. Donate Today.

These forests have been off-limits to roads, chainsaws and drills for the past 24 years. And now these wild places full of towering trees and sensitive wildlife could be destroyed.2

Without the protections that the Forest Service is trying to roll back, 45 million acres of trees would get added to the chopping block, from the Tongass National Forest in Alaska to the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire.

If we lose these forests, we'll lose our favorite spots to throw a fishing line, climb to a mountain vista, or camp out under the stars.

If we lose these forests, we'll lose essential habitat for endangered animals.

If we lose these forests, the trees will take a lifetime to grow back.

That's why we're jumping into action to defend our forests. With your help, we can run targeted ads to increase public engagement. With your help, we can talk to more people and generate more public comments. With your help, we can earn more media attention and organize a broad coalition of forest-lovers.

But we need your help right now in this three-week push to activate forest defenders across Colorado.

Will you help defend our forests with a donation today?

Thank you for all of your support,

Ellen Montgomery
