Last month, Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans jammed through their Big, Beautiful-for-Billionaires bill, cutting almost 1 trillion dollars from Medicaid and raising health insurance costs on working people – all to bankroll tax breaks for billionaires and mega-corporations.

Those tax giveaways for the already-richest people on the planet are set to trigger a process called “sequestration” – resulting in $500+ billion in automatic Medicare cuts over the next decade. That’s another big blow to our already-fragile health care system.

The Trump administration and Republicans in Congress are also quietly creating problems for Social Security, so they can later hand it off to their private equity buddies.

Trump’s own Treasury Secretary even admitted that their Big, Beautiful-for-Billionaires bill opened a “backdoor for privatizing Social Security.” Oops.

This is the well-worn Republican playbook: make budget-busting giveaways for billionaire campaign donors while cutting middle-class programs in the name of “fiscal responsibility.”

I will do everything I can to head off Republicans’ senseless Medicare cuts and Social Security schemes and protect the programs seniors rely on. I’ve got a plan to shore up the finances of Social Security and Medicare forever with ZERO benefit cuts, simply by having the nation’s highest earners start contributing their fair share.
